Professional basketball players, some who have played in the G League, are in essence going back in time to join college hoops programs.
Bring on the jokes.
LeBron James is the latest name in a meme post about just that.
Clearly, James won't be going to play in the NCAA.
But it has created some pretty funny social media posts, including this one:

When James was in high school, players could go straight from high school to the NBA.
James was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft out of St. Vincent-St. Mary in Akron, Ohio.
The rest is history.
We'll never know what a college basketball LeBron may have looked like, but it is fun to think about.
