TL;DR

  • Gonzaga Bulldogs ranked No. 21 nationally for 2026 recruiting class.
  • Luca Foster, Jack Kayil, and Sam Funches headline the class.
  • Coach Mark Few focuses on player fit for Gonzaga's strategy.
  • The class aims for sustained success, with Tyran Stokes a key target.

According to ESPN’s rankings, the Gonzaga Bulldogs have started assembling their 2026 recruiting class and are presently ranked No. 21 in the nation.

Headlining the class is 6-foot-6 wing Luca Foster (No. 37), offering a catch-and-shoot capability and dependable mid-range scoring. The group also features international talent in Germany's Jack Kayil and forward/center Sam Funches. This move also signifies an expansion of Gonzaga's worldwide presence under head coach Mark Few.

Although not in the absolute elite category, the Bulldogs' history of nurturing talent suggests this group might offer significant returns, particularly given the uncertainties surrounding Kayil and Funches. Few consistently seeks out players suited to the Zags' approach, rather than solely pursuing high rankings. All of these recruits fit that strategy.

Gonzaga's current objective is to finalize its roster with complementary players and maintain momentum. Securing Tyran Stokes would be a significant achievement for the program. Nevertheless, initial indications suggest another well-planned class designed for sustained success.
