Jazz injury report has 6 players out for game tonight vs. Hawks image

The Utah Jazz return to the court on Thursday night at home to take on the Atlanta Hawks.

The Jazz will be just a little bit shorthanded.

The Hawks are in that same boat, though. Star point guard Trae Young is the biggest absence for either team in Thursday night's game.

The Jazz are mostly hurting on the interior.

Utah Jazz injury report

There are six players listed as OUT for the Jazz's matchup with the Hawks.

Those six are:

  • Kyle Anderson (right SI joint dysfunction)
  • Taylor Hendricks (right hamstring strain)
  • Walker Kessler (left shoulder injury recovery)
  • Georges Niang (left foot stress reaction)
  • John Tonje (G League two-way)
  • Oscar Tshiebwe (G League two-way)

With a couple players officially absent for G League duty, it's not as bad an injury list as it first appears.

Anderson, Hendricks, Kessler and Niang are all frontcourt players, though, so the Jazz are a bit light inside.

It's not great timing for that when the Hawks have guys like Kristaps Porzingis, Jalen Johnson and Onyeka Okongwu in the frontcourt.

Utah will rely on the likes of Lauri Markkanen, Jusuf Nurkic, Kyle Filipowski and Kevin Love to get it done in the paint in the meantime for the Jazz.
