Some players are generational superstars. Other players are the son of a generational superstar.
Wednesday night's clash between Victor Wembanyama and Bronny James is going about how you'd expect. The San Antonio Spurs star is having his way with the Los Angeles Lakers reserve.
Twice in the first half of Spurs-Lakers in primetime on ESPN, Wemby showed Bronny who's boss.
First, Wembanyama drove while looking for a pull-up jumper, had Bronny in his way, basically discarded him and then pulled up for a money jump shot.

Then, Wembanyama used a pump fake in the corner to get a driving lane. Bronny tried to come over as the help defender.
Luckily for Bronny, he didn't time his jump perfectly, but that meant he had flown by before Wemby arrived.
It was a split-second from being a poster.

To be fair to Bronny, it's not his fault that he's got the name he does. He's far from the only player in the NBA that Wembanyama does this against.
Wemby is a man amongst boys against, well, everyone. Bronny just has extra attention on him because he's LeBron's son.
And yeah, it's fun to watch Wembanyama do superhuman things. These won't be the last clips of Wemby making another professional basketball player look silly.
