The San Antonio Spurs faced their biggest challenge of the season against the Golden State Warriors this week.
Steph Curry was cooking at an elite level, and not even Victor Wembanyama could prevent the Warriors star from helping his team win back-to-back on the road.
On Friday, the Warriors emerged as 109-108 winners in an NBA Cup group stage game. The Spurs defenders were on the receiving end of a 49-point special episode of "Chef" Curry. The Warriors guard was a nightmare for the Spurs as he shot 16 of 26 field goals, including 9-of-17 from deep.
Just a day before, Curry had a 46-point outing to win a 125-120 contest against the Spurs. Combined, the four-time NBA champion scored 95 points while making 14 3s and shooting a blistering 56.9 percent from the field in two games against the Spurs.
