Russell Westbrook is unlike any other player in NBA history.

Now he's got one more record to prove it.

The one-time triple-double machine turned back the clock on Wednesday night against the Golden State Warriors. In leading the Sacramento Kings to victory, Russ put up 23 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists.

With the massive rebounding night, Westbrook passed Jason Kidd for the most rebounds by a guard in NBA history, according to the league's official social media.

Russ now has 8,734 rebounds and counting. Kidd finished his career at 8,725.

Westbrook has averaged 7.0 rebounds per game in his career. He had four different seasons during his Oklahoma City Thunder tenure in which he averaged double-digit rebounds (all four of those seasons he averaged a triple-double).

"Humbly speaking, I'm the best rebounding point guard ever," Westbrook told reporters after the win. "So if the ball come across the rim, I'm going to get it."

According to ESPN, Westbrook said that before being made aware that he had broken Kidd's record.

"Honestly, I didn't even know that," Russ said. "I'm going to need the game ball."

It was the 204th triple-double of Westbrook's incredible career, which is now in its 18th season.

He hasn't been everyone's favorite player, particularly in the latter stages of his career, but there truly has been another basketball player quite like Russell Westbrook.
