Suns owner reveals teams' trade deadline plans image

The Phoenix Suns have battled injuries all season, but have still remained firmly in the Western Conference race.

They took another step toward full health Tuesday, as Jalen Green returned from his second lengthy stint on the injured list due to a hamstring injury.

Green came off the bench for the first time in his career, scoring 12 points in 20 minutes. Devin Booker added 27 as the Suns were able to notch the win despite committing 22 turnovers.

The victory marks the Suns' sixth win in the last eight games and the team now sits 10 games above.500 at 27-17. As a result, they've moved into a tie for fifth place in the Western Conference.

This is an incredibly encouraging sight for Suns fans as they've remained in contention despite injuries and are now in position to move further up in the standings with Green back healthy.

Given Phoenix's impressive stretch, Phoenix Suns owner Matt Ishbia declared that the team isn't likely to make a big move. The Suns seem content with where they're at and are optimistic in their chances to improve, now fully healthy.

With current injuries to Austin Reaves of the Los Angeles Lakers and Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets, the Suns could realistically move up to a top-three spot, currently Denver by just two games for third.

That said, there's still a long way to go. Phoenix will have the next two days off before returning to action Friday against the Atlanta Hawks.
