The Phoenix Suns are assigned the toughest task on Dec. 10 as they take on the red-hot Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Cup quarter finals.
Whoever advances in this game will take on the battle between the Los Angeles Lakers and the San Antonio Spurs.
Somebody will have to step up in the Wednesday night matchup after an update has been released on injured star Devin Booker.
Devin Booker among players listed as out for the NBA Cup matchup vs. Thunder
In NBA.com's recent injury report for Dec. 10, the Phoenix Suns listed Devin Booker (groin), Jalen Green (hamstring), and Isaiah Livers (hip) as out for the NBA Cup quarterfinal.
Booker, 29, will miss his third straight game after having to exit early in the Suns' 125-108 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Dec. 1. It's unclear when the Phoenix star will return to action for the team.
Phoenix has struggled to score since Booker has been sidelined. They failed to get above 100 points in their loss against the Houston Rockets on Dec. 5 and scored 108 in a close matchup with the Minnesota Timberwolves on Dec. 8.
Green, 23, has been out since Nov. 8 after re-aggravating the hamstring that kept him out for the start of the 2025-26 season. He was seen doing sideline work for the Suns' pregame. Although his designated time for return isn't clear, expect him to return sometime in December.
Livers, 27, is still recovering from a hip strain that's kept him out since late November.
Booker, Green, and Livers' next chance to play won't be for over another week when the Suns take on the Golden State Warriors in back-to-back games on Dec. 18 and Dec. 20.
