While tempers may flash in the NBA, it's important that grudges are short-lived.

The stage was set for Philadelphia drama when Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe had it out with each other during a timeout against Cleveland on Friday.

Maxey looked to be giving instruction to the rookie which turned into a confrontation that was more than tense. It left fans wondering if all was right inside the Philly locker room.

Fast forward to Monday and the beef looks to be squashed to nothing.

After the 76ers' 113-104 win over the Pacers, Edgecombe crashed Maxey's interview, put his arm around his teammate, and said "For the record man we do not hate each other."

Maxey had a facetious follow up: "I hate you don't ever talk to me again and go in the locker room."

It was a fantastic night for Maxey who went for 29 points, 8 assists, and added a gaudy 8 steals. Edgecombe added 11 points and 5 rebounds.

Most importantly, the 76ers looked good and its backcourt was meshing once more.

Embiid looks healthier as the season goes on and if Edgecombe and Maxey continue to play this way things could be going up for Philadelphia.

When tensions rise and tempers flare sometimes it brings the best out of players.
