Tyrese Maxey had quite the night at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Saturday.
As the Philadelphia 76ers and the New York Knicks went toe-to-toe, the one-time NBA All-Star once again showed the league that he’s working his way back into picking that title up for the second time in his career.
Maxey led the Sixers to a statement win over the NBA Cup Champs/
In 37 minutes of action, Maxey shot 14-22 from the field. He made six of his nine threes and only went to the charity stripe for four shots, where he split his attempts.
The young veteran finished the game with a game-high 36 points. He nearly logged a double-double as he came down with eight rebounds. The star guard also added four assists, one steal, and two blocks to his night.
