Is Joel Embiid playing tonight? Latest injury update on 76ers star for Tuesday image

The Philadelphia 76ers have a question mark with center Joel Embiid ahead of the Tuesday night matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Embiid is dealing with a right ankle sprain that kept him out of the team's most recent game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

In addition to the ankle, the 76ers have also listed Embiid with right knee injury management.

Ahead of tip-off with the Grizzlies, here's the latest update on Embiid's status for the contest on Tuesday night.

Is Joel Embiid playing tonight?

It appears Embiid has a shot to return on Tuesday night.

Embiid's status has not been confirmed, but the 76ers have listed him as questionable, which is an upgrade and leaves the door open for him to play against Memphis.

We'll get final confirmation on the star center's status when Sixers coach Nick Nurse speaks to the media later in the day.

Embiid has appeared in 13 games this season and is averaging 21.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.3 blocks in 27 minutes per contest.

The 76ers star has come on strong of late, averaging 29.7 points per contest over his last four. Embiid has dropped 39 and 31 points in two of those games.

The 76ers and Grizzlies will meet at the FedExForum on Tuesday night, with tip-off set for 8 p.m. ET.
