Philadephia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey has been one of the NBA's breakout stars, and he just received big news off the court.

ESPN's Shams Charania reported Monday that Maxey has signed a signature shoe deal with New Balance.

"Philadelphia 76ers All-Star Tyrese Maxey is receiving his first signature shoe with New Balance debuting later in 2026," Charania said. "Maxey signed a new deal with the company that included a signature line."

Maxey signed with New Balance in 2023, joining Kawhi Leonard and Jamal Murray as prominent NBA stars with the company. It is the first signature shoe of his career.

Maxey, who is in his sixth NBA season, was drafted No. 21 overall by the Sixers in the 2020 NBA Draft. He had his breakout season in 2023-24, averaging 25.9 points per game and winning the league's Most Improved Player award.

He is third in the league in scoring this season, averaging 30.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 6.7 assists. He was named an All-Star starter for the first time in his career earlier this week.

He has formed a strong connection with rookie guard VJ Edgecombe, who is averaging 15.3 points and 4.3 assists. The two have been public about their friendship off the court, which has translated to success for the Sixers.

Philadelphia (23-18) is fifth in the Eastern Conference, eight games behind the top-seeded Detroit Pistons. The Sixers have won six of their past 10 games, including a 113-104 win against the Indiana Pacers on Monday.

Maxey and the Sixers return to action Tuesday night against the Phoenix Suns.
