The Philadelphia 76ers, already off to a surprisingly robust season start, are getting healthier as the season continues.

Per Tim Bontemps of ESPN, second-year combo guard Jared McCain could be making his season debut for Philadelphia's Tuesday clash against the Chicago Bulls.
McCain has been on the shelf for the club's entire 2025-26 campaign thus far. He tore his the ulnar collateral ligament in his right thumb in the midst of an offseason workout prior to training camp.
So far, the 76ers have fared fine without him — and without their $211.6 million former All-Star, forward Paul George. The 6-foot-8 Fresno State product is still recovering from an arthroscopic left knee surgery over the summer and, like McCain, has missed all of the preseason and the team's six regular season contests.
At present, Philadelphia is 5-1 on the year, buoyed especially by the play of its ascendant starting backcourt — All-Star point guard Tyrese Maxey and rookie shooting guard V.J. Edgecombe, the No. 3 pick out of Baylor.
In just 23 healthy games for Philadelphia last year (and, given his absence thus far this year, for his career so far), McCain averaged 15.3 points on.460/.383/.875 shooting splits, 2.6 dimes, 2.4 boards, and 0.7 swipes a night. Despite appearing in a little more than a quarter of a season, he still finished seventh in Rookie of the Year voting.
