After winning four games in a row to start the 2025-26 regular season, the Philadelphia 76ers haven't been able to find the same success.

Since the perfect start, Philadelphia hasn't won back-to-back games a single time this season. They will have a chance to do so on Thursday as they finish their three-game home stand against the Golden State Warriors.

However, before their chance for two straight wins, the 76ers have provided updates on Joel Embiid and Paul George as the two are still working their way back to getting fully healthy.

According to 76ers insider Adam Aaronson, Joel Embiid is questionable for the Dec. 4 matchup against the Golden State Warriors. Paul George will sit out of the contest.

The insider believes that Philadelphia wants to give Embiid a chance against the Warriors, while George will hopefully be in line for the second half of the back-to-back as they travel to Milwaukee to take on the Bucks on Friday.

Head coach Nick Nurse and the 76ers have had to lean heavily on guard Tyrese Maxey this season. The 25-year-old is currently third in the league in points per game (32.5) and has played in all 20 of Philadelphia's games this season.

Paul George and Joel Embiid are still working their way back from offseason knee surgeries, which have sidelined both for more than half of the 76ers' games this season.

Their recoveries leave lingering uncertainty around the health of two of Philadelphia's top three players, but the team remains hopeful both stars can return to a more consistent workload as the season progresses.
