The Magic had a fairly good 24-25 season despite finishing 7th in the East.

Why will Orlando be active in the trade market?
Evan Sidery of Forbes reported that the Magic have a real opportunity to capitalize on an Eastern Conference next season that is "wide open."
None of Orlando's major rotational players are free agents this offseason.
Mo Wagner, Gary Harris, Cory Joseph and Caleb Houston all have team options, which gives Orlando a lot of control.

If changes to the roster are going to be made, it will have to be through trades.
We just saw a younger Pacers team make a run to the NBA Finals, so the Magic have to be looking at this Pacers situation next year, thinking they should be able to do the same.
This current Magic group hasn't done much in the playoffs, but they have players who got their feet wet over the past couple of seasons.

Paolo Banchero looks like he can be a top 10-15 player next year if he makes another big step.
Franz Wagner has continued to improve, and his brother Mo Wagner will return eventually from his season-ending surgery from 24-25.
Sider mentioned that Orlando is "armed with two first-round picks, plus a deep rotation of young talent, Orlando appears prepared to get aggressive in the marketplace."

Look for the Magic to potentially add an established point guard or big that can stretch the floor well.
We've heard names like Darius Garland, Lonzo Ball and Jrue Holiday thrown around in trade rumors.
Three-point shooting was an issue this past season for Orlando, so they should be looking to add players strong in that area especially.
