Nelson Jr. played five seasons of college basketball: two at George Washington, two at Delaware and one at TCU.
He averaged 20 points per game in his final season with the Blue Hens, allowing him to transfer up to the Horned Frogs, where he put in 11 points per game in his final season.
It's not obvious if Nelson Jr. will have any real chance to make the Spurs, but if he can impress enough to get to training camp and then potentially stick around the G League or get a two-way deal, that'd be a win given his undrafted status.
He certainly has a great pedigree. His dad played from 2004 through 2018 for Orlando, Denver, New Orleans, Dallas, Detroit and Boston. Now, Jameer Sr. just gets to root on his son.
