Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander joined a rare list on Monday night against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Gilgeous-Alexander had his 100th-straight 20-point game, joining Wilt Chamberlain (126) as the only players to reach the mark in NBA history. The performance comes after he set the NBA record for most 30-point games in under 30 minutes in a season last Thursday.
Gilgeous-Alexander had 31 points on 11/20 shooting, including a 3/4 night from 3-point territory. He also had 10 rebounds and eight assists in 36 minutes. The Thunder pulled away from Memphis at home, winning 119-103.
It's been a terrific start to the season for SGA. He's second in the league in scoring this season, averaging 32.5 points per game on 55.4% shooting. He's also posting 4.9 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 1.5 steals for the Thunder.
He's had three-straight 30-point games and is shooting 51.8% from the field in those games. He's hit multiple 3-pointers in 18 games this season for OKC.
Gilgeous-Alexander is primarily battling Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic for the league's MVP award this season. He beat out Jokic for the award last year.
SGA and Oklahoma City have been on fire to start the season. The Thunder (26-3) have the best record in the NBA and recently tied the 2015-16 Golden State Warriors for the best start to a season in league history.
He will look to continue his steak on Wednesday against the San Antonio Spurs in a rematch of the NBA Cup Semifinal. The Spurs are 1-0 against Oklahoma City this season.
