It almost seems as if the Oklahoma City Thunder doesn't need any more help than they already have.
Coming into the season as the defending NBA champions, they have started the season with a league-best 12-1 record.
Despite battling injuries of their own to players like Jalen Williams, Aaron Wiggins, and more, one of their most important pieces to the lineup will be returning on Saturday night.
Thunder's Lu Dort to return from shoulder injury against Hornets
According to Thunder Wire's Clemente Almanza, 2025 All-Defensive First Team winner Lu Dort will be returning to the team's lineup on Saturday against the Charlotte Hornets.
Dort, 26, has been labeled as the Thunder's defensive anchor in recent seasons. Through seven games, he's averaging 7.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.0 steals. He hasn't been able to get his shot to be consistent, but the upper trap strain to his shooting shoulder that kept him out of Oklahoma City's past five games could be the reason behind this.
The Thunder will look to secure its fifth consecutive win and 13th of 14 to start the 2025-26 season. It's safe to say that the Thunder haven't lost their momentum after achieving a championship last season.
