Isaiah Hartenstein injury update raises concern ahead of Thunder vs. Hawks matchup image

Oklahoma City Thunder center Isaiah Hartenstein has continued to progress in the NBA in his age-27 season.

However, injuries have resulted in the center missing eight games already this season.

On Monday, ahead of the Thunder's second half of a back-to-back as they take on the Atlanta Hawks, new reports say that Hartenstein is expected to miss more time moving forward.

Isaiah Hartenstein ruled out for Monday vs. Hawks, could miss an extended period

ESPN's Tim MacMahon reported on Monday that Isaiah Hartenstein has been ruled out for the Thunder's game against the Atlanta Hawks on Monday.

MacMahon said that Hartenstein suffered a left soleus strain in last night's win over the Philadelphia 76ers. It's the second time he's suffered an injury to his left calf this season.

The first time took place on Nov. 26.

With all of these details, the 27-year-old could be in line to miss more than just tonight's game.

Hartenstein averages 11.2 points, 10.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.1 steals while shooting 64.4% from the field in 2025-26.

With Hartenstein and backup center Jaylin Williams both being hurt, Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault will have to make an interesting adjustment to the lineup.
