Nikola Jokic injury update: Nuggets star upgraded to available for Game 2 vs. Timberwolves with wrist sprain image

The Nuggets handled business against the Timberwolves in Game 1, but they entered Wednesday on injury watch leading into Game 2.

While it's not clear how and when he suffered the injury, Nikola Jokic appeared on Denver's injury report with a wrist sprain. The two-time MVP appeared in 69 of a possible 82 games during the regular season because of a combination of health and safety protocols, hamstring tightness, calf tightness and wrist injury management.

What is Nikola Jokic's injury?

The Nuggets listed Jokic on the injury report for Game 2 with a right wrist sprain. Despite the injury, the team listed the two-time MVP as available leading into Game 2.

When asked about the injury between Games 1 and 2, Jokic said that he didn't remember when he hurt his wrist.

Jokic didn't have any tape on his wrist in the first half of Game 1, but he did in the second half. He was also seen icing his wrist after the game.

He finished Game 1 with 13 points, 14 rebounds and six assists in 28 minutes of play.

How long will Nikola Jokic be out?

There's a chance Jokic won't miss any time with the injury. While he's listed as questionable for Game 2, he said ahead of the game that he feels "fine."

Jokic said that he participated in practice ahead of Game 2.
