The NBA is dark on Christmas Eve this year, as per usual, setting up a clean runway for a five-game national showcase on Christmas Day. Fans instead will pivot quickly from Tuesday’s full slate into a stacked holiday lineup that begins at Madison Square Garden.
NBA set for Christmas Day slate

Christmas Day will begin a quintupleheader, opening with the Cleveland Cavaliers at the New York Knicks at noon Eastern on ABC and ESPN. The day continues with San Antonio at Oklahoma City, Dallas at Golden State, Houston at the Los Angeles Lakers, and Minnesota at Denver in a slate that features four of the last six NBA champions.
