We may be months away from the start of the 2023-24 NBA season, but Lakers fans can still get their basketball fix this summer.

NBA Summer League action is set to begin on Monday, July 3. A total of 88 games will be played over the course two weeks, with all 30 teams taking part. A Las Vegas Summer League champion will be crowned on Monday, July 17.

The Lakers' roster has plenty of young talent, headlined by 2023 draft picks Jalen Hood-Schifino from Indiana and Maxwell Lewis from Pepperdine. While the vast majority of Summer League games will take place in Las Vegas, the Lakers will also play a pair of games in Sacramento to kick things off as a part of the California Classic.

When do the Lakers play in NBA Summer League?

The Lakers open Summer League play on July 3 against the Heat in the California Classic. After two games in Sacramento, they will head to Las Vegas.

*California Classic games

Although the Lakers will face off against the Spurs on July 5, their squad will not have to take on Victor Wembanyama. The No. 1 overall pick will not be traveling to Sacramento for the California Classic. However, a matchup against No. 2 overall pick Brandon Miller and the Hornets looms on July 9.

LA will close out its 2023 Summer League schedule between July 15 and July 17, depending on its performance.
