What team was interested in Trae Young?

Grant Afseth of RG reported that the Sacramento Kings reached out about Trae Young, in hopes of finding the franchise's next point guard (via Sam Amico).

Reports say that talks between the two sides stalled and that nothing further came about.

It's interesting to see that Atlanta is talking to teams about their franchise player, as you'd think they'd look to add to the team they have right now, which has potential over the next couple of years.

Afseth highlights that the Hawks could be surveying Young's value if there is an issue when negotiating a contract, as Trae Young is eligible for an extension.

The Kings are looking to add an established point guard, after trading away De'Aaron Fox at the trade deadline this season.
