In recent years, Duke men's basketball has leaned heavily into "The Brotherhood" branding. In 2025, that has taken on a more literal meaning.
The Blue Devils' roster for the 2025-26 season features fraternal twin brothers Cameron and Cayden Boozer. And while neither their features nor games are identical, the duo arrives in Durham, North Carolina, as highly-touted five-star recruits.
In addition to the brotherly connection, the two will strengthen a strong familial connection to the university. If their name sounds familiar, there's a reason why.

Here's more on the Boozer twins and their dad, who starred at Duke years before his sons were born.
Carlos Boozer family tree
Carlos Boozer
Born in 1981 at a military base in Germany, Boozer grew up in Juneau, Alaska, where he became a high school All-American. Boozer chose Duke over multiple top programs and enrolled at the school in 1999.
Boozer was named to the ACC All-Freshman Team in 2000, and as a sophomore, helped lead the Blue Devils to the 2001 national title. He was selected 35th overall in the 2002 NBA Draft and played 13 seasons in the NBA with the Cavaliers, Jazz, Bulls and Lakers, earning two All-Star selections and an All-NBA nod in his career.
Carlos Boozer's ex-wife: CeCe Blackwell
Cece Blackwell is the ex-wife of Carlos Boozer and the mother of Cameron, Cayden and Carmani Boozer.
CeCe and Carlos met when she was a student at N.C. State and Carlos was enrolling at Duke. The two wed in 2002 and divorced in 2015.
Carlos Boozer's son: Cameron Boozer
Cameron Boozer is the taller of the two twins, standing at 6-foot-9. He primarily played the power forward position at Christopher Columbus High School in Westchester, Florida.
While both twins are five stars, Cameron was regarded higher by scouts and pundits, and most likely will be at the top of draft boards in 2026. He is a two-time Gatorade National Player of the Year, winning the award as a sophomore and senior.
Boozer is the first player since LeBron James to be named Mr. Basketball USA, winning it in 2023 and 2025. He's also been named Mr. Basketball in Florida three times.
Carlos Boozer's son: Cayden Boozer
Cayden Boozer measures 6-foot-4 and primarily plays at guard. Like his brother, Cayden was a five-star recruit from Christopher Columbus High School who committed to Duke.
While he has not brought in as many individual accolades as his brother, Cayden has also represented Team USA at the FIBA Under-16 Americas Championship in 2023 and the FIBA U17 World Cup in 2024, winning multiple gold medals. He suited up next to his brother at the 2025 McDonald's All-American Game.

Carlos Boozer's son: Carmani Boozer
Carmani Boozer is the oldest of Boozer's sons. Before he was born on Nov. 20, 2006, Carmani was diagnosed with sickle cell disease.
Through alternative research, Carlos and CeCe decided upon a bone marrow transplant from a sibling and conceived the twins through in vitro fertilization (IVF). Their bone marrow was used to help treat Carmani, who is now a freshman pitcher at the University of Fort Lauderdale.
The family's story was featured in an ESPN profile in 2008 and revisited in a 2024 ESPN+ documentary titled "Blood Brothers."
