Canada Basketball's preparation for the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup continues.

Following training camp, Canada will travel to Germany and Spain for a handful of exhibition games. A total of 13 players are making the trip to Europe, a group that does not include Nuggets star Jamal Murray, who will "continue to focus on his off-season recovery." His status for the World Cup remains unknown.

Canada's first exhibition game comes against Germany, which is led by Raptors guard Dennis Schroder and features Magic rising star Franz Wagner.

How to watch Team Canada vs Germany

In the lead-up to the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup, Canada will face Germany in an exhibition game on Wednesday, Aug. 9. The game is scheduled to start around 1:30 p.m. ET and will be played at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany.

According to Canada Basketball's press release about the team's exhibition games, the only way to watch Canada vs Germany is with MagentaSport, a German sports streaming service. Without a Telekom contract, it costs €12.95 per month for an annual subscription and €19.95 per month for a monthly subscription.

It doesn't appear as though the game will be available on FIBA Basketball's official streaming service, Courtside1891.

Canada will play five exhibition games prior to the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

In addition to Germany, Canada will face New Zealand, Spain, Dominican Republic and possibly China.

When is the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup?

The 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup is set to tip off on Friday, Aug. 25. The Group Stages will run through Sept. 3 with the single-elimination knockout stage beginning on Sept. 5.

The tournament will conclude with the gold medal match on Sunday, Sept. 10.
