Ranking the Top 10 NBA Players who never won a championship ring...

7. Patrick Ewing

  • 11x All-Star
  • 1x All-NBA First Team
  • 3x All-Defensive

As the cornerstone of the New York Knicks from 1985 to 2000, Ewing redefined the center position with his blend of power, skill, and defensive tenacity. A 7-foot force, he averaged 21.0 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks over his 17-year career.

His midrange jumper (rare for a big man at the time) and ferocious rim protection made him a matchup nightmare.

Ewing’s Knicks were perennial contenders, but championship glory eluded him. The 1994 Finals loss to the Houston Rockets, where Ewing battled Hakeem Olajuwon valiantly, and the 1999 Finals run, derailed by his injury, were agonizingly close. Facing Michael Jordan’s Bulls and other Eastern Conference juggernauts, Ewing’s teams often fell short despite his heroics.

HoopsHype on Ewing:

"One of the legendary big men of the ’90s, Patrick Ewing was a beastly shot-blocker who had great size and strength down low, but who also had soft touch as a scorer in the post and out of the mid-range."

But who ranks ahead of Ewing on the list of the greatest NBA players without a ring? Find out below.
