The New York Knicks are under pressure to make moves ahead of February's trade deadline, and a list of trade targets is beginning to take shape.
NBC's Chris Mannix reported Monday that the Knicks want to improve their ball-handling and 3-point shooting at the deadline. He mentioned Kings guard Keon Ellis and Pelicans guard Jose Alvarado as two potential targets.
"Those are the types of guys that the Knicks are targeting," Mannix said. "Bench players, reserves, guys that can give them a spark from 3-point range."
Mannix said the Knicks are close to the second apron, which limits their flexibility this trade season.

"They don't have a ton of financial flexibility with this roster," Mannix said. "They're bumping right up against that second apron, so they're not in a position to take back more money than they can send out."
Mannix mentioned Jordan Clarkson, Pacome Dadiet and Guerschon Yabusele as Knicks who are on the trade block. He believes there is interest in Deuce McBride around the league, but the Knicks are not looking to trade him.
"There's a lot of internal interest in New York in Deuce McBride," he said. "He's also under a very team-friendly contract... The Knicks are not looking to deal Deuce McBride."
The Knicks (25-18) have struggled lately, as they've lost nine of their past 11 games. Fans at Madison Square Garden voiced their frustrations with the team Monday during a 114-97 loss to the Dallas Mavericks.
New York returns to action Wednesday night against the Brooklyn Nets.
