While landing a standard contract is the end goal for most players, inking any deal with any NBA franchise should be viewed as a win.

On Tuesday, a history-making 19-year-old forward secured an Exhibit 10 contract with the Jalen Brunson-led New York Knicks.

“The New York Knicks have signed Dink Pate to an Exhibit 10 contract,” HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto reported.

After joining the NBA G League Ignite in 2023 at the age of 17, Pate became the youngest professional basketball player in the United States.

The Dallas, Texas native averaged 8.0 points, 3.8 assists, and 2.9 rebounds per game with the developmental squad, shooting 34.7% from the field in 31 contests.

After the 2023-24 season, Pate remained in the G-League but found a new home, signing with the Mexico City Capitanes.

The former five-star recruit contributed 10.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists during his second professional season, connecting on 40.8% of his field goals in 34 outings.

Pate competed with the Knicks during the NBA 2K26 Summer League in Las Vegas, showcasing his wonky, yet effective long-range jumper and promising touch around the rim.

Pate recorded 9.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in five games, finishing with a 40% field goal shooting percentage and 50% three-point shooting percentage.

The high-upside wing contributor could further impress New York during training camp.
