Knicks expected to be short-handed ahead of Tuesday night's Timberwolves matchup image

The New York Knicks, who have played four games in the last six days, have quite the lengthy injury report heading into Tuesday night's matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

"Knicks are listing OG Anunoby (sore left ankle), Jalen Brunson (right ankle injury management), Guerschon Yabusele (illness) as out for tomorrow's game at Minnesota," wrote SNY's Knicks insider Ian Begley in a post on X.

"Miles McBride (ankle) and Landry Shamet (shoulder) remain out and Pacome Dadiet is out on a G League assignment."

Knicks will be missing a few stars in Minnesota Tuesday night

With stars Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby expected to miss the contest, New York will be relying heavily on Karl Anthony-Towns, Mikal Bridges, and Josh Hart to carry the load against the Timberwolves.

Tyler Kolek and Jordan Clarkson could be in line to start with the Knicks' injuries.

Given the sheer amount of games New York has been forced to play over the last few weeks, thanks in part to their participation in the NBA Cup championship, it makes sense that they're giving some of their stars a breather.

Head coach Mike Brown is likely also attempting to keep his guys fresh for their Christmas afternoon matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

We'll see if the shorthanded Knicks can pull out a win over their Western Conference opponent.
