What was the report?

On ESPN's show 'NBA Today', NBA insider Shams Charania gave intel on a situation that happened with the Knicks a few months ago at the trade deadline.

Many teams were interested in the Suns' forward Kevin Durant, including the Knicks reportedly.

Shams said that the Knicks actually made an offer for the two-time NBA Finals MVP, to try and make a last-minute championship-altering move for the 2024-25 season.

Evan Sidery of Forbes reported after the news came out that the deal would have likely been OG Anunoby and Mitchell Robinson, along with a veteran minimum contract.

That isn't confirmed, but that would have worked under the financial rules that would have had to be met.

The Knicks might still make a run at KD this offseason, as it now seems Phoenix is bound to trade him away at some point.
