The New York Knicks have already made significant upgrades to their second unit this offseason. Signing Jordan Clarkson and Guerschon Yabusele has helped rejuvenate team’s bench, and they might not be done yet.

NBA Insider Jake Fischer said on Bleacher Report’s Insider Notebook that Utah Jazz big man Kevin Love could be intrigued by the idea of playing in a ‘glamour market’ such as New York. Love was traded from the Miami Heat to the Utah Jazz as part of the Norman Powell-John Collins three-team trade.

“So with Kevin Love, to my understanding, he really only wants to be in the big glamour markets,” Fischer said. “I do think it would mostly be something along the lines of Kevin Love going to a New York or Los Angeles type of situation. So, we’ll see if that can materialize for him.”

Love, 36, is five-time All-Star, and former NBA champion with the 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers. He most recently played for the Heat, where he spent the last three seasons averaging 7.8 points and 5.6 rebounds per game in 99 appearances (31 starts).

While not the player he once was, Love could provide the team with size, and spacing at the center position. Love is a career 37 percent three-point shooter, and could provide a steady offensive flow for when Karl-Anthony Towns goes to the bench. With Mike Brown now in the fold, Love could be used in many creative ways offensively for the Knicks.
