The New York Knicks got back in the win column on Monday night, taking care of business against their crosstown rival, the Brooklyn Nets, 134-98.

It was the Knicks' 12th consecutive win over the Nets, and the second time they defeated Brooklyn in 2025-26.

Karl-Anthony Towns led all scorers with 28 points, breaking himself out of a short shooting slump that had plagued him the last few outings. He opened up to the media after the game about finally having an efficient night.

"Yeah, I mean, you know, I've had slumps before. So experience teaches me a lot. You know, just keep shooting. Keep trusting the work. I said it out there on TV. I think this is an opportunity for me to tell young guys, you know, obviously, the shot hasn't been falling. But I continue to show up to work, be the first one there, last one to leave, and just continue to believe in the work," Towns said from the locker room.

"And tonight, like I said, was a good night, where, you know, after all the shots I put in with no cameras around and no lights on, you know, for it to go in, it feels good. And, you know, it raises the confidence."

Towns made 10 of 17 field goal attempts Monday night and was perfect from the free throw line, sinking eight.

Through 16 games, the big man has shot 45% from the field, which, if it held up for the entire 82-game season, would be his career worst field goal percentage.

Fortunately, it's still early in the 2025-26 season, and there's plenty of time for Towns to continue working his way out of the slump and progress back to his regular splits.
