The New York Knicks are headed to Las Vegas for the NBA Cup Semifinals, and the Finals if they advance. With some hefty expectations, the team is ready for the challenge that lays ahead.

After beating the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Cup Quarterfinals, the Knicks will now go up against the Orlando Magic in the Semifinals. New York has jumped out to a strong 17-7 record so far this season, and the team has appeared to find its groove in recent weeks.

Heading into the back half of the NBA Cup, Karl-Anthony Towns was asked about the level of competitiveness potentially being higher for these games with added stakes. Towns says that it’s being treated no different than how any other game is treated, due to the fact that every team shows up to play the Knicks.

“I mean it’s huge but…Let’s be real, we are the New York Knicks…teams go for their best against us…When we put these jerseys on that comes with being a Knick,” Towns said.

After a slow start to the season, Towns has looked better of late. On the season, he's averaging 22.1 points and 12.0 rebounds per game, shooting 46 percent from the floor, and 35.5 percent from three-point territory.

Towns and the Knicks will now turn their attention to winning the In-Season Tournament. They’ve given themselves a real chance, and will be looking for some midseason glory as they aim for a special 2025-26 campaign.
