Knicks’ Josh Hart comments on team’s strong start to the season image

The New York Knicks have enjoyed a superb start to the season, but some players feel as though this is only the start of something special.

The Knicks are now 18-7, good for second place in the Eastern Conference, and have won nine of their last 10 games. After entering the season as a possible Finals candidate, the Knicks have answered those expectations so far.

Forward Josh Hart told Rachel Nichols that he believes this is only the beginning, and that the team hasn’t even reached its full potential yet.

“Yeah, I mean it obviously takes you a while and, you know the thing I learned about being in this league, obviously it’s my ninth year, it takes a minute and you know sometimes the first 10, 15 games isn’t, I would say, it doesn’t fully give you the scope of what a team is or or what they’re going to be,” Hart said.

“We knew we had to make sure we stayed the course and believe in each other and just go out there and hoop,” he continued.

Hart has been enjoying a strong season from an individual standpoint as well, averaging 12.4 points, 7.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game. He’ll look to continue his strong play of late as the Knicks now enter a pivotal point in the season with the new calendar year just weeks away.
