Knicks’ Jalen Brunson enjoys standout performance against Heat image

New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson had one of the best games of his career against the Miami Heat on Sunday, and it was one of the best games in the entire league this season.

In the Knicks’ 132-125 win over the Heat, Brunson scored 47 points, dished out eight assists, and committed zero turnovers. Per Knicks PR, Brunson is the first player in the NBA this season to record 40+ points, at least five assists and zero turnovers.

The performance was Brunson’s second 40-point game of the season, and his highest scoring mark of the 2025-26 season. On the season, he’s averaging 28.4 points, and 6.5 assists per game while shooting 47.7 percent and 36.8 percent from beyond the three-point arc. His play has helped catapult the Knicks to a 20-8 record, good for second place in the Eastern Conference.

Brunson will look to provide an encore for his masterful performance against the Heat on Tuesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Brunson has firmly established himself in the league’s MVP conversation, and he’ll look to build upon that as the season progresses.
