The New York Knicks don't want to close the door just yet.
The NBA world has watched the Milwaukee Bucks do what they can to surround Giannis Antetokounmpo with more talent for this upcoming season, highlighted by the signing of starting center Myles Turner.
But the Knicks haven't given up on the idea that Giannis might still request a trade at some point.
According to SNY's Ian Begley, the Knicks "don't think the Giannis thing is fully settled yet."

That fact is informing New York's entire decision-making process, Begley said.
They could extend star wing Mikal Bridges, but they're waiting.
Why?
Because if Bridges signs an extension, he can't be traded for six months. And if Antetokounmpo is available in a trade, Bridges could end up as a key piece going the other way.
So it's a bit of a holding pattern right now for the Knicks as they speculate on a potential future with Giannis in town, as unlikely as it may seem.
