The New York Knicks dropped their second straight game last night, losing 121-111 to the Milwaukee Bucks.
Karl-Anthony Towns had arguably the worst performance of his young Knicks tenure, shooting 16.6% from the field and only scoring eight points.
Head coach Mike Brown didn't hold back after the game, saying, "We gotta play with a little bit of pace. All of us, individually. I've talked to KAT about it."
Jonathan Macri rips Karl-Anthony Towns
Brown wasn't the only one to call out the performance, with Knicks Film School analyst Jonathan Macri also giving his opinion on Towns' performance Tuesday night.
"Sometimes a player is what he is... And Karl-Anthony Towns as much as any other player, for better or for worse, is what he is... You could bring in Tom Thibodeau, you could bring in Mike Brown, you could bring in Red Holtzman, you could bring in Red Auerbach... Ain't gonna make much a [expletive] difference," Macri said.
Complaints about Towns have dated back to last season, with his defensive effort and propensity to foul hunt on offense.
Clearly, there's still an adjustment period as the Knicks adapt to Brown's new offensive system, but all eyes will continue to be on Towns as his struggles continue.
"Did I think (KAT) played a good game? No. Was he at times bad? Yes... Did Mike Brown do a great job of making life easier for him? No he did not... In terms of playbook, in terms of play calling... The rotation & the pairing with Hart & Towns... Was a big factor tonight," explained KFS' DJ Zullo.
