Latest injury update on Josh Hart could help Knicks get back to winning games image

The Knicks looked to be the team that would run away with the Eastern Conference this season, after a big postseason run in 2025, but things haven't exactly gone to plan so far.

They're currently tied for the #2 in the East with the Celtics, but it's been difficult for the team to find wins lately.

The tide can turn around very quickly, though, as the Knicks got a timely injury update on one of their core players on Sunday.

What is the injury update on Josh Hart?

NBA reporter James L. Edwards reported on Sunday that Josh Hart would be returning to in-game action tonight for the first time since Christmas Day when he suffered an injury.

The Knicks have been just 3-5 in games since Hart went down. When Hart does play, the Knicks are 19-9 this season.

Hart has played half of his games off the bench and half as a starter this year, averaging 12.3 points, 8.0 rebounds and 5.1 assists.

In the 28 games Hart has played this season, the Knicks have a +7.3 NETRTG, while they have a -3.2 NETRTG when he has been out with injuries.

The Knicks are 4-6 in their last 10 games played and will face a tough Trail Blazers team on the road. Portland has a record of 7-3 in its last 10 games.

The Knicks will be playing without Landry Shamet and Guerschon Yabusele tonight, but otherwise have a fully healthy roster available to play.
