Former lottery pick Cam Reddish is attempting an NBA comeback.

NBA insider Marc Stein reported Wednesday that Reddish has joined the NBA G League's player pool, making his eligible to be signed by a G League team.

"Former lottery pick Cam Reddish, who began this season playing in Lithuania after spending the previous two seasons with the Lakers, has entered the @nbagleague player pool, league sources say," Stein said.

Reddish averaged 8.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and shot 32.2% from three in his NBA career. He most recently played for the Los Angeles Lakers from 2023-25.

He temporarily traded from the Lakers to the Charlotte Hornets at last year's trade deadline in the failed Mark Williams deal. LA send Reddish, Dalton Knecht and an unprotected first-round pick to Charlotte for Williams. The trade was rescinded by the NBA due to Williams failing a physical, and Reddish was later waived by the Lakers.

Reddish was drafted No. 10 overall by the Atlanta Hawks in the 2019 NBA Draft. He spent three seasons in Atlanta before being traded to the New York Knicks for Kevin Knox II and a first-round pick.

He had an up-and-down stint with the Knicks, as he fell out of head coach Tom Thibodeau's rotation. The Knicks traded Reddish to the Portland Trail Blazers as part of a four-team deal in Jan. 2024, where he spent one season.

Reddish briefly played in Lithuania before returning to the US in hopes of an NBA comeback. It remains to be seen if a team will take a chance on Reddish, who can be signed by any of the G League's 30 teams.
