Draymond Green has an opinion on Ja Morant's trade saga: he believes the Grizzlies could end up sending Morant to the New York Knicks.

Speaking on The Draymond Green Show, the Golden State Warriors star opined on the recent speculation surrounding Morant, with the Grizzlies reportedly canvassing the market for the two-time All-Star guard.

Green ran through some options, including the Sacramento Kings, the Miami Heat and the Toronto Raptors. But a "dark horse" he identified is the Knicks, who have struggled of late but remain second in the Eastern Conference behind the Detroit Pistons.

"A dark horse I’d throw out is the New York Knicks," Green said. "I haven’t seen any reports linking them, but imagine Ja Morant at Madison Square Garden. That’s box office."

The Knicks already have a franchise point guard in Jalen Brunson who is leading one of the NBA's most efficient and potent offenses. New York is also over the salary cap and would have to move multiple players to Memphis to acquire Morant, who is shooting 40.1 percent from the field and just 20.8 percent from 3-point range as he endures one of his worst seasons in the NBA.

If the Knicks built a trade for Morant around Karl-Anthony Towns, they'd be relying on two point guards who might not play off of each other very well. If the Knicks could get Morant without giving up Brunson and Towns, they would face even more defensive issues, giving opponents three players to target on that end of the floor.

While Green's take may not stand up to scrutiny, the four-time NBA champion has one thing clear: wherever Morant goes, he is still electric enough to improve whichever team he is on.

"Make no mistake," Green said. "When you have that level of talent, your team improves overnight."
