Bucks seemingly make decision about Giannis Antetokounmpo trade amid Knicks rumors image

The Giannis Antetokounmpo rumors have been very loud around the Milwaukee Bucks over the past few weeks, potentially putting them in a position to consider moving on from the superstar.

The only way the Bucks should move on from Antetokounmpo is if they receive a perfect package in return, and even then, it might not be the right idea.

Not only is Antetokounmpo the greatest player in franchise history, but he will almost certainly be better than any collection of assets they’ll get back.

For teams like the New York Knicks, squads that have reportedly shown interest in the Greek Freak, it remains uncertain what things will look like over the next few months.

According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, however, the Bucks are not interested in trading Antetokounmpo at this time.

“Despite a surplus of outside noise, the Bucks have remained steadfast that they want to continue building around Antetokounmpo, and he’s not for sale, while actively gauging the trade market for upgrades, including on the wing, league sources told HoopsHype.

“In fact, rival executives interested in trading for Antetokounmpo who’ve spoken with HoopsHype said they don’t believe Milwaukee wants to move him right now,” he wrote

As Bucks general manager Jon Horst has shown over the past few years, he’s willing to make the necessary moves to improve the roster.

Not every move works out perfectly, but he’s never been afraid to take a big swing.

Perhaps that’s what comes next for Milwaukee instead of a trade.
