Derik Queen may have cost the New Orleans Pelicans a fortune in draft capital to acquire.
But he's had a few nights in his rookie season that make you wonder if it somehow may have been worth it.
The latest example came Monday evening, when Queen had an absurd triple-double.
The final stats for Queen against the San Antonio Spurs:
- 33 points
- 10 rebounds
- 10 assists
- 4 blocks

That's astounding company.
Queen isn't a perfect player, but he's capable of so many different things on a basketball court.
He showed in his one-and-done season at Maryland that, if things go the right way, Queen could be an NBA star.
Right now, even as a rookie, Queen is looking like he'll be a star, maybe sooner rather than later.
