The NBA's best perimeter defender has a younger brother.

His name is Dash Daniels, and he looks ready to follow in Hawks star Dyson's footsteps.

Dash is a 17-year old wing currently playing for Melbourne United. And on Thursday, Melbourne took on the NBA's New Orleans Pelicans in an exhibition game.

The teenager came off the bench but got 27 minutes in a fantastic performance.

Dash finished with 11 points, six rebounds, an assist and a steal. He shot 5-for-10 from the floor.'

And as one might expect, his defense caught plenty of attention.

"This is another quite impressive Dash Daniels performance," wrote The Athletic's Sam Vecenie on X. "Has really made life miserable for a bunch of perimeter players defensively like Jeremiah Fears and Jordan Poole. Timely and opportunistic rebounds and cuts for buckets. Very much looks the part so far."

Dash will be eligible for the 2026 NBA Draft, so a game like Friday's exhibition against an NBA team is quite significant for him. It's a chance for NBA evaluators to see him up close and against a lot of players they are familiar with.

Like his older brother, Dash's swing skill could end up being his shooting. He was 0-for-2 from 3 against New Orleans.

But even without outside shooting, Dash seems likely to be a strong NBA contributor.

And a showing like as a 17-year old says there might be a fantasy level for Dash Daniels to reach.
