The 2026 NBA Trade Deadline is just over two weeks away, and the Timberwolves are among several teams looking to fine-tune their roster before entering a long stretch of action that hopefully lasts until June.

The one area that Minnesota needs improvement in is at the guard position, as reports suggest they've been eying one particular player who would be a great addition to the roster.

What guard are the Timberwolves targeting?

Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times reported that Bulls' Coby White is one of a few players the Timberwolves have had talks about.

He isn't the only player the team is interested in from the Bulls, as they've reportedly also had discussions on Tre Jones and Ayo Dosunmu.

White is the premier player out of the three, averaging 18.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 4.5 assists this season in 21 games.

He's making just under $13 million this season and is on an expiring contract.

This would be a good move for the Timberwolves instead of going after a bigger contract like Ja Morant, who is a risky player to trade for.

With White, it isn't as risky, as they can see how this season would go, and decide on whether or not they want to sign him in the offseason.

Jones and Dosunmu are also quality options, on even cheaper deals, with Jones for another two seasons, and Dosunmu on an expiring contract.

The Bulls are looking to sell certain players ahead of the deadline, so the return demand shouldn't be ridiculous on these types of players.
