The timeline for Giannis' announcement regarding his future may have just changed.

I think most would have expected it to come already, but fans might have to wait much longer than they originally thought.

How long will it take for Giannis to make up his mind?

ESPN's Shams Charania was on the Pat McAfee show this morning, and said this about the Giannis situation:

It's much more likely that his future plays out into July and into August, in terms of him seeing the landscape of not only the Bucks, seeing the landscape of the league, seeing what other teams do.

Giannis is by far the biggest name potentially available or even up in the air as available this offseason.

If Giannis were to request a trade, he might be the best player ever to be available on the trade market at his current skill level.

There are a lot of other moving pieces with players like Kevin Durant, so Giannis likely figures he will see how that situation and other situations around the draft and free agency play out first, before making his mind up.

Giannis could very well assess the league after all the movement occurs, and decide to return to Milwaukee.

He seems to be in no rush right now and has actually indicated recently that he's leaning more towards staying rather than leaving, with some indirect positive statements about the Bucks.

Giannis has been traveling and enjoying himself, which is another indication that the decision he has to make means nothing to him in the present.

We could have a better picture of his motives in about threeish weeks, after the draft and when free agency starts up.
