The Milwaukee Bucks have been one of the most interesting teams in the league this offseason, and they might have done enough to keep their star happy.

Over the past several weeks, the Bucks have been trying to make the finishing touches on their offseason. After beginning free agency with a bang by signing Myles Turner and waiving and stretching Damian Lillard, the rest of the summer has been focused on ensuring the future of Giannis Antetokounmpo in Milwaukee.

Throughout the past couple of months, Antetokounmpo has been mulling over his options about where he wants to play next season and beyond. After a couple of months of keeping Bucks’ fans on edge, it appears that Milwaukee will get to see its superstar on the floor next season.

Bad news for everyone else

ESPN’s Shams Charania reported on Sunday that the Bucks signed Thanasis Antetokounmpo to a deal for next season, and that the move would ensure Giannis Antetokounmpo will start next season with the Bucks. Of course, after a summer of virtually every team in the league watching his situation from afar, this was certainly a blow for some teams.

The two-time MVP is arguably the most coveted player in the league, and with the possibility of him being on the market, just about every team was ready to make some sort of offer for the Bucks star.

From the New York Knicks to the Houston Rockets to the Detroit Pistons, there was likely no shortage of teams ready to hand their best packages to Milwaukee. However, with a couple of Antetokounmpos set for action in Milwaukee next season, those teams will have to wait for another opportunity.
