The Milwaukee Bucks may have found one of the more underrated roster additions this preseason.
On Saturday, they chose to keep Amir Coffey on their final roster. It was a bit odd that Coffey had been as uncertain as he had throughout the offseason, but the move could pay dividends.
The final roster spot was reported initially by Michael Scotto on X.
Coffey is a 6-foot-7 wing who has only so far played for the Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA.
Last season, the 28-year old averaged 9.7 points per game.
He shot a blistering 40.9% from 3-point range in 2024-25 for the Clippers.

This preseason, Coffey got just 11.4 minutes per night and averaged 3.3 points.
Coffey was a top-50 recruit nationally out of high school in the Class of 2016 when he chose to attend his home state University of Minnesota.
He ended up an undrafted player out of the Golden Gophers but made an NBA home for himself with the Clippers.
Last season was his best in the league, but Coffey has proven himself over the last four years or so to be a solid bench scorer and playmaker who can shoot it when called upon.
The Bucks may not need him much in the early going, but if the injury bug strikes, Coffey can be a solid helper. He's also the right kind of floor spacer to have around Giannis Antetokounmpo, so it could prove very wise for the Bucks to keep him around.
