Erik Spoelstra gushes about Bam Adebayo finally bouncing back from his season-long slump image

The Miami Heat got a massive victory on Tuesday night by beating the Phoenix Suns. It was a long time coming for the Heat because they had a rough time on offense.

Bam Adebayo, in particular, has struggled this season offensively. He is typically known as an elite defender, but he has made massive strides with his offense over the past few seasons. He has regressed this season, but he had a standout performance against the Suns on Tuesday.

Adebayo's bounce-back game impressed Spoelstra

This season has not been the best for the Heat. They have had a rocky year, as they are barely over.500 with their win-loss record. Despite that. They have shown some potential with the current squad because they have gone on some winning streaks.

Coach Erik Spoelstra made major adjustments to the system for this season. They are more of a run-and-gun team now, compared to the drive-and-kick-heavy offense in the past.

Adebayo is one of the players he was relying on to be a player who can adjust well. That has not happened because he has been inefficient from the field, and he has not been a big threat on offense. That was not the case against Phoenix.

The Heat's resident star big man had a superb night. He scored 29 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and dished out four assists. It was one of his best performances of the season, especially since it was a close 127-121 win.

"I thought Bam was a massive part in that. He forced those two turnovers; they felt like they were stuck in the mud. That was a DPOY-type performance throughout the course of the game," Spoelstra said after the win against Phoenix.

"The ball found the right karma. He earned it to have a great night. He was pouring so much of his effort and intensity into the game. Hit those clutch 3s. It was awesome to see."

Moving forward, this could be the performance that Adebayo needs to bounce back. He is one of the most talented and important players on the Blazers roster. The Heat could be on the road back to being a top team if they can keep getting this type of performance from Adebayo.
