The Miami Heat got a positive update on big man Bam Adebayo, who has missed the last six games due to a toe sprain. Per Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel, Adebayo has been upgraded to questionable for Wednesday’s matchup with the Golden State Warriors.

Adebayo suffered the injury on Nov. 5 against the Denver Nuggets, and hasn’t played again since. Despite his absence, the Heat have gone 4-2 with him on the shelf. Adebayo is averaging 19.9 points and 8.1 rebounds per game to start the season.

Despite their record without him, the Heat are hopeful to get Adebayo back on the court soon, as their big man depth is considerably thin. In the time that Adebayo has missed, Kel’el Ware, and Keshad Johnson have seen increased action.

Additionally, the Heat have been without leading scorer from last season Tyler Herro for the entire season so far while he recovers from ankle surgery. Herro averaged 23.9 points per game last season and made his first career All-Star game. The sooner the Heat get back to full strength, the sooner they can contend for a top seed in the Eastern Conference. So far, the team has surpassed expectations, so getting their All-Stars back on the court as soon as possible is a must.
