Heat’s Bam Adebayo shows up on the injury report ahead of Hawks matchup image

The Miami Heat got some unfortunate injury news on Christmas, as Bam Adebayo has now been downgraded to questionable for Miami’s next game against the Atlanta Hawks due to back soreness, per Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel.

Adebayo joins Tyler Herro — who has missed the team’s last five games due to a toe contusion — on the injury report. Adebayo himself has dealt with injuries this season as well, and now sees himself pop up on the injury report once again.

Adebayo is averaging 18.0 points, and 9.5 rebounds per game for Miami, but has struggled a bit of late. In his last 10 games, Adebayo is averaging 16.7 points and 10.9 rebounds per game while shooting 48 percent from the floor, and 25 percent from three-point range.

Nevertheless, the Heat will hope Adebayo’s injury isn’t serious long-term, and that he and the team can get back on track sooner rather than later as they’ve hit a wall after a fast start to the season.
